Dr. Giovanni Cerulli
Dr. Giovanni Cerulli is research director at IRCrES-CNR, Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth, National Research Council of Italy, Unit of Rome. His research interest is in applied econometrics, with a special focus on causal inference, program evaluation, and machine learning applied to various fields of socio-economic science. Giovanni has developed original causal inference models, such as dose-response and treatment models with social interaction providing Stata implementation. He has developed around twenty Stata commands for casual inference and machine learning, working also on Stata/Python/R integration for this purpose. Giovanni is author of the book Econometric Evaluation of Socio-Economic Programs: Theory and Applications (Springer, 2015; second edition 2022), and of the book Fundamentals of Supervised Machine Learning: with Applications in Python, R, and Stata (Springer, 2023). He has published his papers in several high-quality scientific journals and is currently editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Computational Economics and Econometrics.

Prof. Mihajlo Jakovljevic
Mihajlo (Michael) Jakovljevic M.D., Ph.D. MAE is Professor and Founding Head of The Global Health, Economics and Policy Department at The University of Kragujevac situated in a historical capital of Serbia. His Centre’s output and its scientometrics have contributed essentially to the listing of his home University amongst the Top 200-300 Shanghai ARWY global specialty ranking in public health/clinical medicine 2019-2023.
He holds a JSPS funded Visiting Professorship at the Institute of Comparative Economic Studies, Hosei University Tokyo Japan. He is also an Expert affiliate of the CHTF IHME University of Washington since 2016 and used to hold a FORTE-funded Visiting Research Fellow position at Lund University, Sweden in the Division of Health Economics in 2018.
Professor Mihajlo (Michael) Jakovljevic M.D. Ph.D. MAE published аpprox. 300 papers in indexed, peer reviewed journals (Hirsch Factor 79; Citations Count ͌ 111,000+; Cumulative Impact Factor app. 2000+; i-10 index 211).Being a professional health economist and clinical pharmacology physician, his expertise focuses on Emerging Markets and sustainability of health financing across LMICs countries worldwide. In Editor-in-Chief capacity he leads prestigious, London based Cost Effectiveness and Resource Allocation, BioMedCentral journal since 2019
(IF=2.3) and was Founding Specialty Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Health Economics, based in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2016-2021 mandate (IF=5.2). He also serves in Senior Editorial roles on behalf of twenty high-impact journals in the fields of Global Public Health and Health Economics.
For his achievements and professional standing, in 2015 he became the first-ever nominated candidate from Eastern Europe for IHEA (International Health Economics Association) Board of Directors Elections. During the past decade he continues to serve as Scientific Committee Member in top tier health economics and demography events such as IHEA, EuHEA, World Sustainability Forum. Since 2018 he continues as a WHO EACHR Committee member in an advisory capacity to the Cabinet of WHO Regional Director for Europe, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2021 he became first-ever Elected Ordinary Academician coming from Serbia, at the UNESCO World Academy of Sciences TWAS with its headquarters in Trieste, Italy. In 2022 he was elected to Full Membership within Academia Europea, London, UK as the first representative of Serbia Elected to the Section Clinical and Veterinary Medicine amongst almost 800 members.
